The first time you light the candle, allow it to make a full melt pool before extinguishing (let the wax melt to the side of the glass). This could take a few hours, depending on the size of the glass vessel
The candle has a memory, and the first burn dictates subsequent burns, so a full melt pool will give a level top and help to create an even burn. This will make the candle last much longer
